Sports & Life Skills                         "Values Learned Playing Sports"

While striving to win, sports provides important values that can develop participants into successful citizens. Many of the sports values are important life skills. Regardless of the sport each participant should benefit, from the long term character, values and life skills that should be acquired as a byproduct of their participation in the sport.

Physical activity has been shown to stimulate chemicals in the brain that make you feel better. So playing sports regularly improves participants overall emotional and physical health.

We highly recommend that parents, coaches, and educators explain to their young adults the lifeskills that are learned from playing sports.
